A touchscreen for the library that helps readers aged 12 to 15 find a book by tapping through a few simple choices.
Idea
Many teenagers walk into the library without knowing what to read. The screen asks a few questions with large tap targets: your age, a genre, the format and your reading-list level. Then it shows a short list of books that match.
Flow
Each step asks one question, and a list on the right shows where you are, so you can always go back. Results show the cover, a short description, how popular the book is and where to find it in the building. A wishlist lets you save books for later.
Visual design
I used the orange of de Bibliotheek on a dark background, so the option you select always stands out. Type and buttons are large enough to use while standing at the screen.
