A new website for Bankras Bikes, a bike shop in the centre of Amsterdam, designed around a customer whose bike breaks down on the way to work.
Persona
I wrote the persona: Harry Wouters, 35, a web developer and “a real Amsterdammer” who cycles everywhere. On a Tuesday morning his bike breaks down, and he has to be at work by 8:30. Slow and unclear websites frustrate him, and he uses his desktop and phone about equally.

Design
The site had to get Harry from a broken bike to an appointment fast. The homepage leads with one action: book an appointment. You can browse bikes by type, brand and colour, a repair page explains the common repairs, and booking a test ride or repair uses a simple calendar.
We used photos of the shop itself and kept the layout white and calm, with orange for every action.
